 ukung is a kind of small fishing boat with colourfully decorated by Balinese
fisherman.You can see them everywhere in the coast of Bali. Fishermen living around Tulamben village area where our hotel is located at have been in hard situation to keep their life, because at that time also it was difficult to catch the fish. So we have coordinated with Fishery Bureau of government in Karangasem regency, and finally we made decision to hold Jukung Race 2000 and 2001. The event had been done successfully; the both guests and villagers have enjoyed and were happy. Almost 9 years later we held Jukung race 2009. Also the guests and villigers enjoyed. And Now in 2011 the circumstances can be allowed to hold this event again, please be expected. The committie of Jukung race 2011. Exciting Jukung Race With 100 Jukung Sail Boats You can be a supporter and put your Company's logo on their Jukung sail The Fisherman Will Use Your Company Logo on their Sail For a Year after the Race! Venue: Emerald Tulamben Resort & Spa (Racing point at Amed, Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia) Participants: There will be 100 fishermenfs boats that will be selected by village people. Prize: Cash Prizes for 1st through 10th Place! Supporter Fee: US $300 per sail with logo with second sail and logo for only US $150 * You will receive 10 photo shots per sail * All company logos printed on sails will be in English. Design and typing may be slightly different than the original submitted. * All fees raised from supporters will be donated to the village fishermen for prizes and to help fund the racing event. 1: US $100 for one person This donation shall be used for the prizes and donated to local fishermen. We will inform the boat number and after event also send a result of ranking and photo. 2: US$300 with your own sail. On this opportunity, would you like to put your name or logo of your company on a sail of Jukung. And the sail will be used for at least a year. As soon as your sail produce, one of fisherman will use as trial, and then send you some photos of Jukung with your sail. Your sale will be used at least year. And you can order as much as you would like to such as name, Logo. When you order, we will ask you about preferred colour of cloth and the name you wish to put on to a sail.
